Doechii made a statement at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on February 1, 2026, in Los Angeles, wearing a custom Roberto Cavalli gown inspired by the Italian fashion house's late-1990s and early-2000s designs.
The look combined a sheer burnt-orange lace-up top with a deep plum corseted bodice and a dramatic, tiered train embellished with intricate details. Chopard jewellery completed the ensemble.
The striking detail is the interplay of colour and texture. The burnt-orange top contrasts with the rich plum skirt, while the voluminous train transforms the gown into a dramatic red-carpet statement.
Doechii described her inspiration as “boho glamour” with an earthy, grounded, goddess-like quality. The design's vintage references give that intention a distinctive visual expression.
Vintage inspiration becomes more than nostalgia when a designer's archival language is reinterpreted to express a new artistic identity.
Would you wear this earthy, dramatic take on couture—or do you prefer a more minimalist red-carpet look?
