Beyoncé brought an electric burst of neon to the Renaissance World Tour in Atlanta, stepping onstage in a custom Gaurav Gupta Athena Saree Gown from the designer’s Hiranyagarbha Paris Couture Week Fall/Winter 2023–24 collection.
Styled by Shiona Turini, the sculptural neon-green creation transformed Gupta’s couture vision into a stage-ready statement, with its fluid draping and architectural silhouette perfectly suited to Beyoncé’s larger-than-life performance aesthetic.
The look was accessorised with a Tiffany & Co. x Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff, reportedly priced at $1,800, adding a sharp metallic contrast to the vivid green gown.
Couture meets Renaissance
The choice of Gaurav Gupta was another example of how Beyoncé’s Renaissance wardrobe brought international couture into the concert arena. Her tour styling, led by Shiona Turini alongside other members of the creative team, deliberately blurred the line between performance costume and high fashion. Vogue noted that the tour’s wardrobe was built around avant-garde silhouettes, reflective surfaces and designs that amplified the album’s dance-floor aesthetic.
But this particular look stands apart because of its colour.
Against the predominantly silver, chrome and metallic visual language associated with Renaissance, the neon green feels almost radioactive — making Beyoncé appear less like a traditional diva in a gown and more like a futuristic sculpture moving across the stage.
