Tems, a Grammy-winning Nigerian singer-songwriter, has earned her spot as a style icon to watch out for on the international stage after making back-to-back statement performances at some of the most notable events this year.
At The Met Gala, the biggest night in fashion, the diva was seen making another stylish statement. Tems made her public debut, and she didn't fail to impress in a monochrome mermaid corset dress by the same-named fashion company, Robert Wun, based in London and headed by a Hong Kong-born fashion designer.
Themes closely related to the Tems brand include "escapism, futurism, and feminism," according to Vogue, which describes Robert's creations. However, Tems collaborated on her Met Gala Look with a fantastic glam squad that included her go-to stylist Dunsin Wright and a wonderful Archivist named Kim Russell who made significant contributions to the concept and design of the ensemble.
She completed the look with elbow-length gloves, a modern feathered headpiece that matched the top of her stunning strapless bodice, and a stunning pinup appearance. Tems had her hair up in a stylish bun.
