Maria Chike Benjamin made a striking appearance at the Soundcity MVP Awards, stepping out in a custom embellished creation by Alice O Kouture, styled by Swazzi with Roger Stimi as assistant stylist.

The reality star and media personality’s black look featured an intricate embellished mesh construction, with black stones worked across the bodice, shoulders and waist. A dramatic folded train added movement and gave the silhouette its statement finish.

Her styling was completed with statement black-and-gold earrings, embellished strappy heels and stacked bracelets, while her beauty look kept the focus on her face with defined brows, glittering eyes, highlighted cheeks and neutral lips. She wore her hair in a sleek, low ponytail.

The look was a full styling collaboration, with makeup by @bibyonce, photography by @boboiso, and the fashion direction credited to Swazzi and Alice O Kouture.

What makes the look work is the balance: the dress carries plenty of detail, but the sleek hair and controlled beauty styling prevent the embellishment from becoming overwhelming. The result is dramatic without losing its polished, red-carpet quality.

Mercy Eke turned heads at the #SoundcityMVP Awards, bringing serious red-carpet energy to the nigh tin black Amy Aghomi design,gloves and Amina Maudi earrings.

Eke brought her signature red-carpet confidence to the Soundcity MVP Awards, stepping out in a statement look styled by Mz Florashaw, with the dress by Amy Aghomi.

But beyond the “best dressed” conversation, Mercy’s look reflects the growing role of Nigerian celebrity styling in building a recognizable public image—where fashion is no longer just what a star wears, but part of the celebrity brand itself.
