Beyonce for British Vogue July 2022

Beyonce’s most ambitious musical project to date, the culture-shifting, Grammy-dominating Queen Bee has trained her considerable artillery on America’s musical soundscape of the late 20th century.

Lensed by acclaimed visionary photographer Rafael Pavarotti and styled with avant-garde brilliance by Harris Reed, the cover image featured Queen Bey looking utterly regal as she sat poised atop a magnificent Stetson horse, draped in a dramatic crimson couture creation accented with a striking feathered headpiece. Dropping hand-in-hand with then-Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful’s deep-dive interview, the spread served as the ultimate visual prologue to her club-inspired musical metamorphosis, blending maximalist fashion with royal status.

The creation has been a long process, she explains to @Edward_Enninful in her Los Angeles home, with the pandemic giving her far longer to spend thinking and rethinking every decision. Just the way she likes it. See the full story in the July 2022 issue of #BritishVogue

Beyonce is poised for her next evolution, one that promises vision, grace – and something a little bit extra. In the  July 2022 issue of @BritishVogue, Edward Enninful meets a superstar, as Rafael Pavarotti captures the moment. Mirror balls, light boxes, headdresses? Of course. A horse on the dance floor? Why not.
